Tsavorite garnet is the green variety of garnet that can rival the best Emeralds. Tsavorite is very rare to find over 3cts in size. When buying Tsavorite look for stones that have a uniform color and that aren't too dark. The stones that are coming from Kenya generally have a slightly darker tone but they are still considered to be of very good quality.
