100% real and solid. Crystal opal refers to the body colour of the opal. In
this case it is a transparent dark colour with play of colour on top.

Note: As seen in the last image, there is a chip on the side of the stone. It does not reach the top of the stone and does not pose any durability issues and so it does not detract from the price
