Mint Garnet is a beautiful light green version of grossular Garnet. The other well known gem from the same family is the Tsavorite. It has grown in popularity in recent years and is now holding it's own among the garnet group. Looks for gems that are well cut and show a bright minty colour. It is a durable gem sitting at 7 - 7.5 on the MOHS scale. That makes is suitable for use in jewellery that will be worn every day.
